Those people were dismissed and shunned outright. They weren't normalized in the public eye. They didn't have the social influence to set back race relations by decades. And then along came Donald to legitimize them and give them a voice. Trump has brought the lowest rates of minority unemployment in history and has black and gay men in his cabinet.
