It's also not a "gun free zone," considering there are well-armed, well-trained secret service agents there. In terms of civilians, it's a gun free zone. Anywhere there's a gun free zone, it typically refers only to civilians as licences government employees (police, secret service, etc) are still allowed to carry. Now back to the question; why risk not having a good guy with a gun in the crowd?
