Wanda and Vision is only acceptable between neither got their own movie or much character development so it's the quickest way to humanize them. More the opposite. You can do a forced romantic subplot with sweethearts, AND you can have some romantic tension if and when different comic love interests show up, or just for shits and giggles. It's not like Banner and Widow have even had much interaction in the comics, but hey, we need a romantic couple to please the shippers. and they, talked for a few minutes on screen. Though if anyone needs serious speculation: Tony: serious womanizer. Kind of surprised he's never made an ex-wife crack. Cap: not exactly in demand male before the war. After, too busy adjusting. Banner: nerd devoted to his work Bucky: Been a bit occupied since the war. Dr Strange: Jackass and self important. Needs to be single for stories with Clea from the comics. Widow: too much red in her ledger she doesn't feel she can be happy Thor: Frat boy warrior. He doesn't marry, and let's not get into what he might have done if true to viking spirit. --- ...
