Not all or even a majority of black women are grinding on that level but they still face the same hardships dating.

Yes. And those women are seen as out-of-shape. Obnoxious. Ghetto. The same men also wouldn't like women from other races that are like that.

But that doesn't explain why a guy can come face to face with a beautiful, educated black woman and still insist that he doesn't find black women appealing.

Part of it is what Admiral said, people have grown up on stereotypes about black women. Part of it is because they don't match traditional Western standards of beauty. And I believe another part of it is what I said earlier.
