I'd also rather it not happen just yet. Rewarding the Republicans for screwing over the country by handing them their choice pick of president (would have been Ayn Rand Dystopian Hellhole Enthusiast Paul Ryan; now it'll be some even further-right nutjob they're picking knowing full well he could end up being president quite easily) since Speaker of the House is next in line is also rather distasteful.
If Democrats win the House this year, then one of them would at least be next in line.

It's a pretty basic rule to live by, but I think it's a pretty solid one.
