That's unfortunate. In my opinion Scouting focuses on being a good citizen, overall good person, and being respectful of others even if their beliefs are different from your own. It's part of the Scout Law. Stuff like learning outdoor skills, survival, etc. are just icing on the cake. I find it hypocritical that some leaders will deny a Scout the rank of Eagle if his stances goes against their personal beliefs. --- "You must gather your party before venturing forth" "Go for the eyes Boo!
