Topic	Has GameFAQs' gaming community always been so political?

What was political discourse within the gaming community like in 2006? Anything about race? Gender? SJWs? I think the occasional race thing, but the most common targets of the gaming community were people like Jack Thompson. Ah, the "violent video games causes violence" types. I mean, there weren't really any major groups of people in favor for dialing down on video game violence on the boards right ?
