Hopefully you didnt get specific and agree to a certain time. Either way, I think youre in lawyer territory. Lying to a detective making an impromptu home visit months after an incident is one thing but doesnt hold much if any weight in court without a follow up written statement or (more likely today) a filmed interview session. If youre being truthful about your predicament, I do think a decent lawyer could deal with this situation fairly easily, great lawyers can get you out of exponentially bigger shitstorms than this so dont forget that. Its one of those circumstances where money spent right on legal counsel should be the fix. Also would help if that woman you worked with is a bad witness in person...but lets not get ahead of ourselves here. When I say all that I just mean as a precaution. --- I am basically am I.
