One of our adult leaders was almost denied his Eagle rank when he was a Scout in Ohio as he was borderline atheist at the time. In our local council, we don't focus on religion as much and on the Eagle character boards rarely talk about it. I doubt anyone within our council will deny a Scout his Eagle rank if he declare himself an atheist. My friend had to hide his homosexuality until after he got his eagle.
