And I can kind of relate because I've even been in this type of situation where I wasn't keen on a partner wanting drunken sex with me, because it often led to awkward or straight up uncomfortable aftermaths. However, I also realized that part of the reason these situations kept happening was my own participation. I got drunk too, I didn't do anything to discourage the drunken advances on me while I wasn't sober myself. Hell sometimes I drunkenly encouraged it. I know what a case of rape is. Despite me being drunk with several partners making sexual advances on me, I wasn't raped in any of those instances. Fits the general narrative of what could legally constitute as a rape case, but I was never raped during those times. And I fully understand how my willing participation beforehand (sober or not) led to those uncomfortable events repeatedly occurring. Culpability, man. I have it no matter how inconvenient it is for me.
