not really, the credit card company can still force you to pay/file bankruptcy/garnish your wages if you don't pay your credit card bill


So when you're disputing $5K in charges would you rather have $5K missing from your bank account or $5K in charges on your statement while the dispute is ongoing?

The point is the credit card gives you extra protection while a debit card you are out money from your actual bank account during this process.

And no shit if you don't pay your debts then they will put you through collections I don't see how your post is a logical reply.
