You know, the thing One thing I really don't get: How Republicans in one hand can say "Democrats were the slave owners, and south!" Then when Democrats are like "Hey, you know what? Let's take those confederate statues down." They scream "OUR HERITAGE!" It's like they don't realize that Democrat today isn't the same as Democrat 150 years ago. But then DO realize it, and celebrate those Democrats they demonize for simply being CALLED Democrats. The same people they revere any other time. While you are correct, regional heritage doesn't necessarily equate political heritage.
