Gorillas are rather passive as well. They might take rivals on in the rare contest of strength, but actual fighting isn't something they do all that much. Humans on the other hand are some of the most violent and bloodthirsty animals on the planet. I seriously doubt that as the average gorilla can lift 2,000 pounds of dead weight some say more so I doubt they would break so easily. Also good luck getting that many people to grab one location on an angry gorillas body. They might be able to lift that much, but the bones or muscles in their arms aren't going to be able to put up with 2000 pounds putting constant pressure as they are pulled in opposite directions. 3 people on each limb is going to snap the gorilla really easily.
