This is basically the end game here. Is it really worth ruining a teenage boy's life just to make an example of him? He was asking a girl out to prom, it's not like he was waving a confederate flag around and promoting Jim Crow. Was what he did stupid? Sure. Should he get off without any disciplinary action? I think that the entire world knowing who he is and having thousands of haters is enough. Now he and his family won't be able to sleep at night out of fear that some radical nut might come and set their house on fire.
I ask again, is it really worth it for one teenage boy?
