So we are adamant about our need for a firearm for protective purposes. tbh, when I was a kid, somebody in the house accidentally set off the alarm one night and it took cops an hour to respond. Cops aren't there to protect and serve you, they're there to protect and serve the state. With incidents like shootings and break ins, they have zero interest in risking their lives. They assess damage and determine fault. That is it.
