Steins;Gate 0 after two episodes has right now proven to be a cut above everything else I'm watching (which is nearly everything).

Hinamatsuri has cemented itself as the comedy to beat right now, partly due to just how funny it is, but also partly due to other comedies that were competing in week 1 to have worse episodes this time around. Also if I wasn't sold on FMP being back, I am now.

3D Kanojo: Real Girl has already raised a flag and it'll be interesting to see how stuff develops now. It's the only traditional type romance I'm watching right now and like episode 1 I was impressed how authentic each character seems to be. Maybe not completely realistic, but relatable and believable to a point where the emotional build up they might be going for is not lost on me.

GGO is 100% the surprise of the season and I really like it right now. I am actually actively looking forward to new episodes. It has some nice animation and the backstory of the main character is already way more engaging than Kirito's. It's no surprise that a different person made this (the guy who did Kino's Journey).

I was also kind of on the fence on Last Period for episode 1, but episode 2 pretty much ended that.

WotaKoi has an okay episode 2. Like in terms of jokes and references to games and stuff I think it was fine but there is just no energy to anything. In this case the animation quality is really hurting it imo. Like I'm watching it and they deliver a joke but it just seems so dead because everything that is happening on the screen is just dead. Like I'm sure other comedies don't have the worlds best animation either, but it's painfully obvious since unlike the first episode, this one didn't use banter to counter the production quality and instead like quick fill fullframe jokes.

Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi probably had a drop saving episode 2. I really liked it and now I can see this actually being a good show. In fact, every non dropped show I'd consider, as of now, to be pretty good.

Three shows were dropped on their second episode. Galactic Heroes idk, it's just like not interesting to me. I don't really know the stakes of what's going on, reasoning for people actions on a grand scale, etc. I had no actual connection to anyone in the battle. I get the like "chess like" strategy stuff going on versus just having an all out action fest, but there is nothing exciting about a bunch of red lines.

Caligula I think is just trying to be too smart for its own good. And Magical Girl site is a show where I feel like I'd cut myself if I kept watching it. It's like shows like it really don't understand what made Madoka so good. I think Yuuki Yuna got the closest, but really fucked stuff up.
