The buddy system was superficial in the game and didn't add much of value. At the very least they weren't interrupting gameplay or requiring babysitting.

I think Far Cry 5 is the best in the series and that's coming from someone who enjoyed Primal the most before that. Decent story, characters and environments. My only complaints are the boss fights could have been better, the game could have had more outposts or at least harder ones, the resistance meter goes up way too fast and I do miss weather effects but these are small gripes.

Really? The villain was super boring, the endings were garbage, and the whole resistance system was "meh." Enemies spawning every two seconds also wasn't fun in a game that limits your ammo unless you go out of your way to refill it.
