Topic | Is gaming at a low point? |
Minute 04/15/18 11:21:09 PM #20: | i say this with full knowledge that I have a very niche taste in games i don't think I've enjoyed a game that's been released since dark souls 3 I can't think of any game I've bought and enjoyed in years. Dark Souls isn't even my niche, its about the most, uhm, mainstream (I guess?) game I enjoy, but I basically go back to the same cycle of games every time. Dwarf Fortress, SC2, Path of Exile. Mount and Blade: Warband too, recently, but that's been out since 2011 or something. I've had a hunger, a fuckin burning desire to get back in to EVE but, well, it's a slow-motion car crash of a game right now. It pains me that such a game will never exist, and the only one that does exist is in its death throes for purely human reasons. And maybe that's just the end-stage of a game like EVE. When you give humans full control of a massively-deep political stage, a very inspiring drama plays out over fucking 15 years and then it settles in to space-European Union. All that to say, the games I like are a dying breed and the ones still around I have hundreds or thousands of hours in. Doesn't help that this is probably the busiest I've been in my entire life, though. :P --- Ryzen 7 1800x || MSI X370 Gaming Carbon Pro || Cooler Master Masterbox Pro 5 G.Skill Trident Z 16GB 3200MHz C14 || GIGABYTE GTX 1060 6GB || Kraken x62 ...
