And the police don't verify things? I can just say bad shit is happening and they'll have the SWAT team go shoot whoever they see there? It's terrifying how easy it is to turn the police into your personal hit squad. I don't think the police can verify such information without the help of a third party source (ISP, phone companies, etc).
