I mean, I find it a bit silly that you're referring to the single most Eastern nation in the world as being part of "The West". The term "the west" has never applied to Russia. It's east of Eastern Europe, for Christ's sake. How is this even up for debate? Germany has been the undisputed dividing line since WWII ended... The west, by definition, is both a cultural and geographical description.
