You won't get sick at all. This is how I eat mine on occasion. You just sear it for a few seconds on each side. As long as you make sure the outer layer is cooked it's fine. I've eaten all kinds of raw food, being a fan of Asian cuisine. The only things I won't eat on the rare side is chicken and pork, the latter of which Americans seem to like rarer. Also burgers. I do like my patties a little red, but if you get a burger here, it's going to be cooked right through.
