they were going to order if you had just waited. they wanted their friend to get there. the friend even got there as the cops were arresting them. you have no patience

i don't need to give a reason to kick people out because it's still private property. If i suspect someone is a non paying customer, i don't need to give them any reason to kick them out. If they don't want to leave, then i will get the police to intervene.

them waiting for their friend before they intend to pay is not a valid excuse because the initial indication is that they were non paying customers to begin with. And even if it was a VALID excuse(them waiting for a friend), it doesn't matter at that point because as a staff member representing a privately owned business, i don't need to give ANY reasons at all for refusing service or for telling ppl to leave.

Loitering isn't allowed, deal with it

Have they fired your ass yet?

fired for what? let due process take its course

obviously, starbucks does not want any form of controversy that may disparage their franchise. But it doesn't specifically addressed what really happened in that specific incident. That's why there is due process

those two black guys are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

No not really he ripped this story from twitter.

police can't just arrest someone without probable cause

chances are, they were probably asked to leave. Then they gave staff attitude, so staff called police and arrested them for criminal trespass

it's against the law to arrest ppl without probable cause. Someone called 9 11 on them because more often than not, they probably LOITERED and refused to leave after being asked to do so. NO chance someone called 911 just for the fact that they were black or because they were suspicious, that's not enough probable cause to make an arrest.

99.99% sure it was loitering/criminal trespass.

Forgot to switch accounts?

What gives?
