This is the example I've been using for a couple of years now: If kid A in kindergarten asks kid B for a cookie, kid B says no, and kid A calls the cookie owner stupid... is kid B more or less likely to give the first a cookie if kid A asks again? This is a fundamentally simple lesson/principle that it seems some people never learned. Or, more likely, the people acting this way want a literal revolution and as such they don't care about trying to be reasonable, because when you want to burn it all down there's no need to be nice. --- "History Is Much Like An Endless Waltz.
