Yeah, it is pretty weird, especially given that she's still school-aged. A three-year age gap doesn't leave a lot of room for them to have been in school together, unless it was in elementary school, or he was a senior when she was a freshman. But senior guys who hang out with freshman girls are pretty skeevy in my experience. And all this is assuming he even is 19, but I get the impression he's in his 20s.
