I worked at a liquor store for almost 3 years.

We had one extreme alcoholic that would drink two 750mL bottles of Absolut vodka a day. He smelled like rotting flesh and looked like he'd been living in a sewer drain. One of my idiot coworkers decided to let him use the staff washroom one day and he shit all over the floor. We called him "Shitty" from then on.

We had another alcoholic that would get one 750mL bottle of Black Velvet whisky every day. His hands were constantly bleeding, I don't know what the fuck was wrong with him there. He died suddenly about a year after I started, we saw him in the obituaries.

We had another guy that would buy 4 single-shot vodka bottles every day. I told him once that it is a lot more economical just to buy a bottle, or at least a 350mL flask bottle. He was like "oh no, this is for my wife. I do it this way so she doesn't drink it down all at once.". Real healthy relationship, obviously. About two years in, he came in one day in tears, bought a shit ton (like 15) of single-shot bottles, and cried to us about how she was threatening divorce. We told him he needed to calm the fuck down and see a counselor but he refused to listen and said that he could talk her out of it. We never saw him again.
