Unless you're exchanging body fluids via sex or breastfeeding, or sharing needles, you're not going to get HIV from someone. There is no defensible reason to refuse to live with someone for fear of getting HIV from them.

Further, no mosquitoes cannot transmit HIV, and no, people with HIV are not horrendously sickly all the time. If they're on treatment and it is working as intended, they're going to live just as long and just as healthily as anyone without HIV.
