I mean, it will be emotionally painful for her to be around you if you can't reciprocate her feelings. That shouldn't be too difficult to understand. Asking her to stay your friend is asking her to constantly expose herself to something she really really wants but can't have. Sounds like she isn't willing to do that.

That's not really keeping them as friends either. If they are that into you, being friends at least any time soon, is not an option. It sucks but thats just how it is and I suspect you know that and just wish it were somehow different.

It's possible with some time her feelings will change (or i suppose it's faintly possible yours will) and it may eventually be able to be different but if thats gonna happen you two are gonna need some space and probably for a long time.

I mean you know your choices. Stop being friends or try sleeping with her. As much as I want to advise lesbian sex in all circumstances, it'll probably lead to some pain in this case. Course I'm also tempted to say this is all fake but it's no skin off my back to respond seriously so whatever.
