Clearly not if they're both working at the same dead-end job. And there are a lot of older guys stuck working shit jobs for some reason or another.

This is true. While some young women are into older guys, a lot find older guys unattaractive. Like, for example, the other day one of my 20 year old female coworkers was complaining about a coworker in his late 30/early 40s(I dunno his actual age) being flirty with her. Her exact words were like "That's gross. He's like 40.". Still, that's more an example of "you can't get *any* 18 year old" then "you can't get *a* 18 year old". It's harder but not impossible. Though at some point it becomes more about being able to find a girl with a silver fox fetish then creating a relationship via more normal circumstances.

Personally, I only really think it is actually weird if the older person knew the younger person when the younger person was a kid or something. Actually had something like that happen to me once. My sister in laws youngest sister had a very obvious crush on me since she was like 11(I think I was like 22 then). I never thought much of it but when I saw her for the first time in years when she was 18 she was really going after me and I was just like "...Not happening". It was just too weird to me.
