The show was framed to portray how evil Negan was when he killed Eugene and Glenn, but Rick murdered four times as many innocent people as that in this past episode for absolutely no reason. And if you recall, the reason Negan killed those two (actually, it was just supposed to be one before Daryl attacked Negan) was because Rick launched an unprovoked attack on one of Negan's outposts and massacred all of his men.
