Topic	I finally watched Star Wars: Episode VIII last night...
Solid Sonic 03/31/18 4:37:13 PM #9:	dameon_reaper posted... I just don't understand the hatred for this movie. Its pretty ridiculous. I'm not even sure what the 'joined' hatred is anymore. It started with "ITS NOTHING LIKE STAR WARS! THIS ISN'T STAR WARS AND LUKE WAS NOT LIKE THAT WHEN I SAW HIM LAST!" and now its "ITS TOO MUCH LIKE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK! WHY CAN'T THEY DO ANYTHING DIFFERENT?!" It must be one of those "I'm going in with negative thoughts" kind of thing... But even Mark Hamill says that Luke Skywalker was handled all wrong. He realized he was being a dick about it and apologized but still feels that way. Personally I don't think he was handled wrong but his backstory is out of character (like...why was the Dark Side so tempting to him at that moment, when has that EVER been a thing for Luke?). Everything that happened in the present made perfect sense with the context of his character (a jaded, old man who is sick of his own hype and just wants to die the miserable death he resigned himself to). --- The only game reviewers who can be trusted are those who publish in Latin or Swahili. <cite>Solid Sonic posted [p:898830840] in I finally ...
