I do agree with not taking it lightly. Again, I'm not interested in banning all guns or repealing the right to bear arms.

The point I'm interested in debating is where the line is drawn on what kind of weapons should be available to the public. That line already exists in that you can't buy full-auto weapons, bombs, rocket launchers, etc. I don't think that line is so unimpeachable that we can't even discuss it.


What do you believe the reasons are for the second amendment? Specifically, do you believe that the people being able to arm themselves in the event of tyrannical government is a legitimate reason for the second amendment?
