Games were much more magical and mysterious when I was a kid. There was always rumors about secret codes and rare findings. Of course damn near every one turned out to be bullshit, but it was still something that made the game more than it was.

The internet ruined that experience.

With that being said, I still think that todays games are a much higher quality than the games of my childhood.
