Just feel the original personalities in a modern setting would have worked better. i liked that it was 5 popular overall well liked kids that were chosen to save the world thats honestly not something thats done all the time because so many movies like to make the hero an outcast so the movie took away the part where the teens were overall good kids and turned them all into edgy outcasts If anything, Tommy in the sequel would be the outcast.
