Breaking news: companies have access to company communications. Just like company email don't say anything you wouldn't read out loud to HR/the CEO/your boss.

At my place when punching in a order to send to the kitchen people would have fun with the kitchen message Not all of them were very flattering about guests or management.

Unbeknownst to them a full log of all these is available to the managers. One day the GM comes out with the print out of some of these and starts reading some of them aloud to the employees.

Needless to say it stopped pretty quick.

I don't know, that seems pretty rude of the employer. Sometimes the employees have to vent, and to get angry at them for doing so, in a private manner, is a violation of trust.

Plus, it's micromanagement and that's the worst type of management.
