ok i just watched a scene that makes me sympathize with ted a bit

so be bought a brand new car, and it's i think season 3 episode 14 or 15, and marshall quits his job so he's freaking out in the car with ted. he's holding a burger, then robin comes in with a massive drippy ice cream cone, then barney comes in with a lit cigar

and so ted obviously is trying to tell people to not make a mess, but whenever he tries, they all snap at him because marshall's in a crisis about his job and it makes ted look like he doesn't care

as a brand new car owner myself (god bless my parents #privileged) i totally understand ted's frustration and like to think i wouldn't even let anyone in the car in the first place with unsealed food.

he still sucks though, barring the rare times when he's single and not giving a fuck about robin or his current stalkery pursuit of random woman #69
