Self-depreciating jokes - Just agree with her. She's clearly just wanting attention as most folk do when they fish for compliments.

As for forcing music, memes on people - Don't listen to it or at least make compromises. She probably thinks your music is shit too.

Public speaking - Seems normal. Still you can take a horse to water but you can't teach it how to drink. Not a big deal. Perhaps you should stop trying to help her when she clearly doesn't want it. Otherwise you're just going around in circles while giving her the attention she craves.

All of this seems like things that can be sorted out easy enough. She probably was emo when you became her friend and as far as I can see she hasn't changed so eh.


Yo man, it's just not me she does this to *everyone* and it's so annoying. To explain the public speaking part, our school does a lot of presentations and stuff so every time it comes up she constantly whines about it and it gets tiring, man
