If you're too scared to do the job, then you shouldn't be an officer of the law. Being scared isn't justification for murder for regular citizens, it shouldn't be for cops. Yeah if I get spooked by a cell phone and kill a man, I'm going to jail. If a cop does it, he is fearing for his life and reacting like anyone would. What a great analogy, since a random person and a cop telling a person to stop is exactly the same context. You're right it isn't. I'm held to a higher standard. Regular citizens should be getting away with murder if that is our standard for law enforcement.
