Why do they attack innocent people? It makes sense they attack people that were involved with them.

In most lore, demon's are malice incarnate. They wish to tempt, harm, or kill any innocents they can find.

These kids wind up in a haunted house that they dont know its haunted, and they get tormented?

Ghosts and demons are generally two different things. Not always, though; I was raised Jehovah's Witness and they actually taught that there was no such thing as ghosts, but any paranormal activity is just Demons in human guise. It was fucking weird.

Also, if demons exists then god exists.

No, that's not true. Though we commonly associate the word 'demon' with Christianity, it can be used to describe any maliciously evil entity from pretty much any pantheon. Also, there are some philosophies that argue that the Bible is false but some of the creatures and events in it exist.

Why doesnt praying to god not work in these movies? Why cant he stop the demons?

Depends entirely on your belief system. Some systems don't have an interventionalist God. Even more, some actually require some very intricate knowledge, rituals, or expertise, such as with Catholic priests committing exorcisms (though, IIRC, even the Catholic church now disavows exorcism).
