there exists an alternate dimension. in this world, a kangaskhan is born, grows old, and gives birth. then it dies of heart disease and cubone comes out wearing its skull. this is because cubone/marowak have the heart disease gene.

if the egg is from a kanga, then the kanga inside doesn't get the heart disease because kangas don't have the gene. so in this sense kanga and cubone line egg hatches and it might actually be the parents grandchild that comes out.
