Topic	Never played Final Fantasy 7 before and I just bought it on PS4

Don't listen to folks that played it as their first rpg on it's release day. Other rpgs that came out in the west around the same time were Lufia 2, Suikoden and Wild Arms. All of which surpass FF7 in multiple things except cutscene graphics.
