Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom

I am generally not a fan of random NES games.

Fallout: New Vegas

Probably my favorite open world game. Combines the inherent atmosphere and exploration of the Fallout world with great writing and the most fun choices I've ever made in the genre.

Nier: Automata

Somehow manages to feel like a Nier sequel while still doing its own thing. The writing and music are top notch, and while the gameplay is flawed, it's overall fun and varied. And boy oh boy does it not hold back on the gutpunches! And it's an experience that gets even more engrossing the more I dwell on it.

FF IX caps

One of those games that has only grown on me over time - and I already really liked it. It's not this super unique experience, but there's something about the world and characters that I find inherently enjoyable.

Persona 5

A game of big highs and big lows. Stuff like the 1st, 4th, and last arc are really good, while the 2nd arc drags and the 5th arc is terrible. Manages to gloss over most of its flaws with an incredibly stylish presentation.
