Also regarding status effects, the game never comes out and says all this and there's misinformation online so I want to cover exactly what the basic status effects are doing:

Paralysis: The enemy will be froze up, unable to move for awhile or until being hit once. They take more damage and if they're a human enemy who can be grappled, you can grapple them.

Poison: Straight forward damage over time, though how much damage it does is not universal as some enemies are resistant to the damage, some weak to it.

Fire (Scorched): Damage over time, performing evasive moves greatly reduces its remaining duration so dodge/roll if on fire.

Water (Saturated): Increased physical damage taken, and slight increase to the status build up of additional effects.

Earth (Muddied): Significantly increased ki damage sustained.

Lightning (Electrified): Reduced movement/action speed.

Wind (Blustered): Greatly reduced physical damage output.

In addition, if two elemental status effects are inflicted at the same time, an additional effect is triggered:

Confusion: 50% more damage taken from all sources, greatly reduced ki recovery in humans, emptied ki for yokai and an inability to create yokai realms or recover ki in any way for the duration; inflicting additional different elemental statuses while this is in effect extends the duration.

Also small clarification: by two elemental statuses inflicted at the same time, I don't mean they have to both activate at the same time, just that two are affecting the enemy at the same time, so like burning them, then switching to wind damage and inflicting that too. >_>

I am snazzier, hot, hot rant. Warily slight as.
Croak rush, OK? Weirder, almighty make out. ::)
