in second(?) grade, I decided one day that I was going to be a robot

robots, of course, only walk in straight lines, never diagonals. so instead of taking the most direct route anywhere, I would walk parallel/perpendicular to the walls. also I was probably doing some kind of robot imitation.

I got in trouble for this - later I snuck a look at the teacher's logbook and saw she wrote "did not co-op" for me on that day

anyway, that was the peak of my robot-ness
