You can call it any name you want. But the rituals are comforting regardless of creed or denomination.

I did. Try it sometime. Try just kneeling or whatever , stand. And just talk to God about your problems, or ask for help for a loved one . Its.very comforting. What is the atheist equivalent? I remember a blue eyed black man came up to me at summer camp. The sincerity of belief I saw in his eyes shook me to my.core. when he put his hands.on.my shoulders , I burst out in tears. It was almost 20 years ago, I recall his face perfectly. That was magic and nothing in non belief comes.close to the just.. goodness... that young man was emanating. Thinking about it almost makes me tear up.

We've forgotten how good it feels to believe in something greater. I get to relax because I don't have to be perfect! God knows I'm weak.and dirty minded and angry , and it's ok. I just have to keep trying to do better , I don't have to have all the answers. It feels so fucking good.

I cuss when I pray. Gods a big boi, he can handle it.
