Its for legal reasons - Bell to Bell we are responsible for your well being so if anything happens in those five minutes and some of yall get hurt we are held liable for it

What a load of semantical nonsense. So if something happens in the 5 minutes the teacher is liable, but after holding students for 5 minutes it's a free for all with no liability even though the teacher created a situation that necessitates rushing around.

Thats how it is for every teacher - in 5 minutes Ive seen a full blown riot begin (I used to work in the south Bronx) after those five minutes all responsibilities are no longer mine as you all transfer to your next class and I get new responsibilities

Like I said, ideally (in NYC most school dont have lockers) we give our kids five minutes to get from class to class - what you all do in those five minutes is none of my business
