If Tarantino films don't make sense to you, stick to easier movies(yuck, yuck, yuck). But seriously, "Jackie Brown" is fantastic, IMO. They all good, but that one is the most indulgent insofar as music is concerned. Personally, I don't enjoy much film unless it's coordinated with music, so that one is pretty much tops for me.


Oh man, the scene where Max meets Jackie and "Natural High" by Bloodstone plays... That's the stuff.

It's such a romantic film even though it involves two characters who purposely keep a distance from each other...their silences and the things they don't say are what makes it so special.

It's also Tarantino's most mature film imo. A lot of critics hated on the film when it first came out, claiming Tarantino went away from the 'intensity and action', but those critics clearly didn't have the patience to let the story evolve by itself. Jackie Brown doesn't tell you what's going on...you have to watch the characters and listen to their conversations to follow the story.
