Maybe you shouldn't align yourself with the left anymore. It may not be popular to be a gay Trump supporter or a conservative gay person --- but it's the right thing to do.
Just remember you do not have to be a liberal if you're gay. There's plenty of conservatives that will accept you.

Second of all, when liberals do stupid crap like this, it's just misguided support and caring. When conservatives do stupid crap like fighting against gay marriage or trans rights, that's because they think we're "evil" or "gross" or "sinful".
I'll take friendly stupidity over antagonization any day.
Conservatism is evolving. Trump supporters in particular. There are gay Trump supporters and people who are OK with you being gay. Trump didn't do anything against gay people
