Most of the kind of people who still post on T_D are people with a fair-weather interest who only got invested in politics over stuff like Gamergate and Hillary's Pizza Place Childfucker Assassins. They don't really have any sort of party or personal loyalty or anything, and constant efforts at defending Trump are largely just trying to feel good about their purchase and drive away the cognitive dissonance however they can. They're driven more by vague-but-obnoxiously-loud opinions they have about various things without any idea how they link up in terms of policy. Lies were one thing, but Trump's hellbent on being a maverick and saying whatever he can to go against the grain (while his staff quietly sweep it under the rug and allow nothing except the most generic Republican policies through) and as he continues to do this, expect to see this happen more and more and more. I'm fairly certain he's getting a second term, but it's going to be interesting to see how many people realize they've been fleeced and just how far "at least it wasn't Hillary" is going to take him by the time that election rolls around. Ok, first things first... ...Hillary's Pizza Place Childfucker Assassins... LOOOOL. Good shit, good shit... Secondly, and far less important than the first...You know, I really figured that within the first year he was elected, that there would be some guy within the government, or some woman whos been tearing shit up in her state office, that would begin being groomed by the powers that be to get ready to present themselves as the solution to the question of whether or not trump is going to serve another term. All I hear about this is crickets, and we know sure as hell it aint gonna be Hillary. She couldnt win against Hitler at this point. So Im starting to wonder if this is actually a part of the plan. I wonder sometimes just how much trump has things under control. Up until trump was president, I felt like our president (the actual position itself) was the most powerful position in the world. But it started with Obama on his way out, and now Im convinced of it with trump in therethe POTUS position is only the most powerful appearing position in the world. I definitely now have the feeling that the people behind the curtains have more control than they ever have before with his fool ass in office.
