You don't have to be into dragonball. The mecahnics are really fun to play with. I personally don't own the game but there are quite a few people in the tournaments that know nothing about dragonball. It is a really great game. The auto combos do barely any damage and are there mainly for set up strings. Manual combos give you much more damage. This helps players whoi are getting into the game as well as giving tools to each character as the strings are mainly used for set up by the pros. edit: I also like to add it haas been considered a pretty balanced game. Their is really only like 3 overpowered people and the rest are still viable. with like 2 -3 garbage characters. You should check out the tier lists people have made. Game is great dude, you should at least check it out more.
