| Topic | Had to report a kid for making threats against our school when he was joking. |
| justaguy3492 02/27/18 6:32:54 PM #1: | I'm a teacher and this kid in class today decided to jokingly tell everyone that he was going to shoot up the school tomorrow and that he was gonna be the first black school shooter. This is a kid who repeatedly makes outlandish jokes and I knew he was kidding so I told him that it wasn't funny and he needed to stop saying such things. He continued so I had to report it. A period later I'm dragged down to the local police department giving a statement and he's in a holding cell until they can determine if he's a threat or not. I know you can never KNOW that these kids are joking, but he's known for going too far just to get a laugh and I kinda feel bad for the fact that he may be charged with a crime. All my colleagues said I did the right thing and that I'd feel worse if he actually acted on it and I did nothing, but I still can't help but feel I ruined this kids life over a joke. =/ --- Gt: justaguy3492 ...
